The Clemson University is founded in 1893, taking an area of 560ha. The overall landscape planning and landscape for the central key area include: to restore the ecosystem, and develop a complete landscape architecture, and explore and strengthen the south carolina country style elements and historical culture. A series of interdisciplinary research institutions and open spaces are created in the key area of the university, and the original physical features of the surrounding land were kept well. The key destinations are connected by series of landscape axis and corridors, together with the complete pedestrian and bike system, to make the central area of the university a gathering space consist of public green lands and plazas.
